Mark & Rachael @ The Pear Tree Purton
A reminder that “have camera, will travel”, no distance is too far when the opportunity arrises. When Mark and Rachael invited me to photograph their wedding at The Pear Tree at Purton in Wiltshire I jumped at the chance knowing what an incredible venue this was. Plus, shooting away gives an opportunity to tick off another Premier Inn off of the list…..done quite a few now!
London based Rachael and Mark headed to the West Country for their Scottish inspired wedding day, not far from the border of Wales….interesting. The Pear Tree lived unto its reputation in every way, there is a cool grandeur about the venue in many respects, whilst also fitting of a garden party style day. The ceremony room was utterly gorgeous, Mark and Rachaels exit from the ceremony to the sounds of a traditional Scottish Piper left tingles running through me as they were piped through their showering confetti arch.
Diner in the Orangery (thank you to the guys at the Peartree, it is a very rare occasion to get served Steak at a wedding, especially Steak this good), followed by a an absolute banger of a Ceilidh. I say it every time……there is no better evening entertainment than a true Scottish Ceilidh!
