James & Callie @ Elmley Nature Reserve
I was very, very lucky in 2023 to get to visit one of my top three Kent wedding venues on several occasions. Elmley Nature Reserve on the Isle of Sheppey is quite simply epic in every single way. It wouldn’t look out of place as a sprawling Terrence Malik film set! Callie and James married here in August and utterly killed it. Their vision of eclectic Ibiza party vibes and colours fit the awesomeness of the Kingshill Barn with unbelievable affect.
Orange and cream drapes, vibrant summer colours and disco balls a plenty, Callie and James’ styling packed a supreme punch. By complete fluke I discovered a virtually unknown treat that comes with an Elmley Nature Reserve wedding…..an indoor ceremony! As with most venues that have an awesome outdoor ceremony space, the indoor rarely gets much of a look in, as I discovered on this very awesome day, that is a tragedy beyond words. The light in the Kingshill barn is absolutely out of this world AWESOME! For all you Elmley Nature Reserve couples coming up, seriously look into this…..you can catch some rays after haha!
So, the weather left a little to be desired (you will see plenty of umbrella usage below lol), it rained in the morning, the afternoon, and pretty much most of the evening as well. Did we care, hell no! Despite the hacking rain not quite fitting the Ibiza sunset wedding vibes, enough time come about that allowed us to get outside in order to make use of the expansive grounds at Elmley.
Colours, tunes, vibes, disco balls and a whole ton of love, laughter and dancing. Callie and James rocked their Elmley Nature Reserve Wedding out the park. This is definitely a special one for the memory bank. Much love to all involved!
