When it comes to winter weddings, few venues can rival the charm and intimacy of The Old Kent Barn in Kent. I had the absolute honour of photographing James and Natalie’s special day, which was a perfect blend of heartfelt moments, rock ‘n’ roll vibes, and magical touches that truly reflected their very awesome personalities.
The ceremony itself was unforgettable. The room was adorned with warm fairy lights that bathed the space in a romantic glow, perfectly complementing the winter season.
After the ceremony, the celebrations moved to the reception area, where the barn’s rustic elegance shone through. Guests enjoyed a delicious feast, heartfelt speeches, and plenty of candid moments captured throughout the day.
Breaking away from tradition, James and Natalie made their grand entrance into the evening reception to AC/DC’s “Back in Black”—a bold, electrifying choice that brought smiles to everyone’s faces and set the tone for the evening to come. It was a powerful reflection of their shared love for music and their fun-loving personalities.
The grand finale was nothing short of awesome, a sparkler tunnel that lit up the winter night. The couple’s beaming smiles and the warm glow of the sparklers made for some of the most stunning photos of the day. It was the perfect way to end a celebration filled with love, laughter, and a touch of rock ‘n’ roll.
